Does the photovoltaic cable heat up for no reason? Have you checked all these reasons?


It is normal for photovoltaic cables to heat up during use, but some people have found that even
when electrical appliances are not used, the wires will heat up. What's the situation now? The wire
heats up when it is no-load, and the analysis of Jianzhenda cable usually has the following situations:

 

1. Short circuit of photovoltaic cable

Short circuit refers to the phenomenon of leakage, in-phase or relative zero contact when the wire
is charged, and the current increases and heats up. For example, if the insulation layer of the wire is
of poor quality, it will leak electricity if it is immersed in water for a long time; or if the insulation
layer of the wire is damaged, it will leak electricity when it comes into contact with wet walls or steel
bars, resulting in increased resistance and heating of the wire.

 

 

2. The cable connector is not crimped properly

If the wire connector is in poor contact, under the action of the current, the resistance through the
wire connector will increase, and the wire will also heat up when there is no load.

 

3. The cables are laid too densely and the ventilation is not good

According to the water and electricity installation specifications, the threading pipe accounts for no more
than 40% of the cross-sectional area of ​​the threading pipe. If the wires are routed too densely and the
cross-sectional area exceeds 40%, the heat generated during normal use will not be easily dissipated,
and the wires in the heat storage tube will not be loaded. In the case of wire heating phenomenon.

 

4. There is a heat source near the photovoltaic cable

If the heating of the wire is caused by a nearby heat source (such as a gas stove), effective insulation
measures must be taken between the two.

Conclusion: Under normal circumstances, the wire will heat up when the load is running. The safe
current carrying capacity of the wire is less than the rated power of the equipment. In this case, the
only way to increase the cross-sectional area is to replace the wire;

 

5. The wire quality of the cable is unqualified

Another situation is that the quality of the wire is relatively low. The insulation value of the wire is low.
Use a shaker to measure whether the insulation value can reach 0.5 megohm. If the insulation is too
low, it will catch fire and generate heat between the neutral wires. Just replace with new wires. ,
The discharge and heat of the wire will also cause the meter to be blank and the electricity bill will
be high, so it must be dealt with as soon as possible.
